We had an earthquake in Virginia a few months ago. I was at home painting and hanging up pictures on the wall when I started hearing my house shake and a loud rumbling noise. We had several aftershocks. The epicenter was 40 minutes from where I live and I had friends that had damage to their houses. Fortunately the nuclear power plant near the epicenter was OK! We had minor cracks in our foundation. I normally wake up during storms and I woke up for the aftershocks.
